Bedford’s Victorian Embankment Promenade is often described as ‘the jewel in Bedford’s crown’. It becomes a hive of activity during the River Festival when it becomes home to the Festival Market and a multitude of trade stalls, making it the perfect place to peruse a wide variety of both local and regional goods and maybe to pick up a unique souvenir or gift. You can also keep an eye on the various river activities taking place as you stroll along the riverside.

The Embankment is also perfect for viewing the river activities which take place throughout the duration of the Festival, including the various boat parades and thrilling water demonstrations.

New for this year will be the Bedford Music Hub Stage. Working with a number of their partner organisations (including Bedford Music Cooperative, Bedford Town Band, Luma Sounds, Musical Seeds, Philharmonia Orchestra), they will showcase a fantastic array of young local talent: singers, instrumentalists, beatboxers, rappers, DJ’s and aspiring rockstars.

“Creating Musical Pathways the Bedford Music Hub ensure that all children and young people across Bedford Borough have access to high-quality, inclusive and varied musical experiences and progression routes. For more information please visit the website https://bedfordmusichub.org.uk/
