Sports Island

The Sports Island will feature sporting and martial arts demonstrations, a stage full of action with acrobatics and dance performances, ‘have a go’ activities and more.

The Sports Island ethos is all about actively encouraging people to have fun and get involved or stay involved in a wide range of physical activity. If you feel like taking up a new sporting activity or revisiting one from your past then pop along to discover what Bedford has on offer! Local clubs, organisations and gyms will all be in attendance for visitors to find out more.

The 2024 River Festival will include countless river activities, eight live music and performance areas, the Sports Island, Family Island, Green Earth Village, the wonderful offerings of the Festival Market, Bedford Festival of Motoring, plus so much more!

Make sure you keep the 20th & 21st July 2024 free in your diaries so that you don’t miss out on any of the action.
